Paul Victor Jules Signac (November 1863 - August 1935) was a French Neo-Impressionist painter who assisted in developing the Pointilist style of painting - a style where small dots of paint are applied to form an image. The majority of his works were created while sailing the coasts of Europe where he was well know for painting landscapes and harbor cities.
